RCC doctrine declares that Catholics worship only God and that they venerate Mary and, to a lesser degree, the other saints.

In practice, however, it is crystal clear that Mary figures quite prominently in Roman Catholic worship.

In fact, to this Christian observer it is quite apparent that the RCC is little more than a Marian cult in which Catholic Mary has usurped many of the roles and authorities of the Catholic Trinity.
