The Eucharist

Just about any Roman Catholic one might encounter is likely to look upon the Mass, particularly the Eucharistic Sacrifice, as representing the very essence of his faith and religious practice

"The eucharist is the center of all Catholic worship. All the other sacraments of the Christian faith either point toward it or flow from it, and the Christian community often celebrates the other sacraments within the context of the eucharist." (Richard Chilgon, "The Faith Of Catholics," Paulist Press:New York (1975), p. 150)
